The Pepsi Idaho Regatta 2008

4 course records were shattered in 2007 with the debut of a new tri-oval course configuration that let racers keep their foot on the gas pedal, will new records be set with the 2008 Pepsi Idaho Regatta?  In 2007, the race for the Bill and Lance Faulkner Memorial Trophy and Moyle Mink really heated up as the PS-80 Pepsi Pro Stock driven by Dave Rankin hit 101% of the existing record, Dave Bryants SS-80 Smiths Food and Drug Super Stock came in at 102% of the record, Budweiser Cracker Box team Amy Ottinger and Rider Nick Granger pushed their P-96 to 102.1% of the record but it was the 108% of record performance of Paul Grichar in the D.L. Evans Bank Grand Nationals that took home the trophies, mink, and bragging rights.

Friday Night Shootouts from DL Evans Bank will once again kick off the racing action in 2008, six classes will qualify boats throughout the afternoon culminating with a series of shootout finals starting at 6pm.  Racing Saturday and Sunday will feature the Pepsi K-Boats, Smith's Food and Drug Super Stocks, D.L. Evans Bank Grand Nationals, Budweiser Cracker Boxes, Coast To Coast Pro Stocks, Fairfield Inn Competition Jets, Cycle City Nostalgia Class, and making a return after several years away, the BJ's Tavern 2.5 Liter Hydros round out the field. Please Contact the Burley Regatta Committee with any questions or comments.

The Pepsi Idaho Regatta is a not-for-profit community event. The Idaho Regatta Committee works year around to make this event an exciting and unforgettable experience. Racing teams can expect beautiful weather, excellent water conditions, and homegrown hospitality. Race fans can expect 3 days of fun in the sun while meeting racers face-to-face and socializing with friends - not to mention some of the most intense competition on the APBA racing circuit. Founded by Don Moyle in 1975, the Idaho Regatta has the flavor of a first class professional racing event mixed with the personal touch that only a small town can deliver. For racers and race fans alike, it's a three day weekend of red carpet treatment!

The Pepsi Idaho Regatta is sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association(APBA).
